Care for the website you rely on

Keep it current.
Keep looking ahead.

Updates, fixes and the small changes that keep a website useful. We help you understand what needs attention and agree how to look after it.

Website software changes, integrations move on and your business keeps developing. Regular care helps you deal with those changes before they become a larger job. We consider the platform, the important customer journeys and how much the business relies on the site, then agree a practical level of maintenance.

You might need help with a specific fault, regular WordPress updates or a team to discuss future improvements with. Our Wigan studio can review the hosting setup and explain where we can help. When something comes up, you speak to a real person who can understand the context and work through it with you.

Looking after the details, together

Routine care.
Thoughtful decisions.

An update is more than a button to press. Plugins, themes, core software and custom features can depend on one another, so maintenance needs to consider the website as a whole. We plan the work and check relevant journeys, paying attention to what would matter if a change caused a problem.

Security is an ongoing practice. Keeping supported software current, reviewing access and preparing for recovery all contribute to reducing avoidable risk. We make the scope clear and explain issues in plain language, so you can make informed decisions about the work and priorities.

The most useful support relationship carries context forward. We get to know the site, the people using it and the changes you have in mind. A clear record of requests, responsibilities and agreed work helps small fixes and larger improvements fit into the same picture.

See how we get there

A level of care that fits the website

Stay on top of today.
Be ready for what changes.

We review the current setup before agreeing coverage. The exact maintenance, monitoring and support arrangements depend on your platform and requirements.

Considered software updates

Core software, plugins, themes and dependencies need attention as versions change. We plan the agreed updates around compatibility and the site’s important features, then check the relevant journeys. Any unsupported software or more substantial changes are discussed before further work begins.

Practical security checks

We review relevant parts of the setup, including supported software and the access people need. Findings are explained in terms of the website and the work required. The aim is to reduce avoidable exposure and give outstanding issues an understandable priority.

Backups and recovery planning

A backup is useful when you understand what it covers and how it could be restored. We discuss the site’s changing data, existing backup arrangements and recovery needs, then agree responsibilities and the checks included in the maintenance scope.

Monitoring that has a purpose

Agreed monitoring and checks help bring relevant problems to attention. We consider which pages, services or functions matter to your business and who should act on an issue. Monitoring coverage and response arrangements are defined, rather than left open to assumption.

Help with faults and fixes

A broken form, a layout problem or an integration behaving unexpectedly needs a clear diagnosis. We review what is happening, explain the likely work and agree the fix. Existing access, third-party dependencies and the condition of the site influence the approach.

Room for useful improvements

Support can also include agreed changes that help your website keep up with the business. A new service page, an improved enquiry form or an editing adjustment can be scoped alongside maintenance, with priorities and any additional costs made clear first.

From an unfamiliar setup to a shared plan

Know the website.
Agree the care.

We start with the site as it is, then define the work, responsibilities and way of keeping in touch.

Start with a conversation
  1. Talk through priorities

    What needs attention, and why?

We discuss the website, any current issues and the tasks it supports for your business. Your existing suppliers, internal responsibilities and plans help us understand the context. If something is already broken, we establish the symptoms and the access needed to investigate.

    • Current issues
    • Business priorities
  2. Review the site

Understand what we are looking after.

With suitable access, we review the platform, software and relevant services. We look at the existing update and backup arrangements and identify areas that may need work before routine maintenance begins. The review helps us give you a realistic picture of the setup.

    • Platform review
    • Existing arrangements
  3. Define the coverage

    Clear scope, clear responsibilities.

We agree the maintenance tasks, monitoring, backup responsibilities and support arrangements appropriate to the site. The proposal makes recurring costs and exclusions clear. We also explain how requests outside that scope will be assessed and agreed, so there is a shared way forward.

    • Agreed coverage
    • Contact arrangements
  4. Prepare the baseline

Address the work needed to get started.

Any agreed initial fixes or setup changes are carried out before the ongoing routine settles in. We establish the relevant access and recovery arrangements and record the important dependencies. Where a larger change needs separate development, we explain the scope and discuss its priority.

    • Initial fixes
    • Recovery preparation
  5. Maintain & check

Give each change the attention it needs.

We carry out the agreed maintenance and check relevant website functions afterwards. Issues uncovered along the way are explained, with a recommendation for the next step where more work is needed. Your team stays involved when a decision affects functionality or the way the site operates.

    • Software updates
    • Functional checks
  6. Review what’s next

    Keep the arrangement useful.

As the website or business changes, we can revisit the support it needs. New functionality, different integrations or a busier shop may change the priorities. You have a familiar team to discuss those changes with and a clear process for agreeing further work.

    • Changing priorities
    • Continued support

Before we get started

Before we get started.
A few useful answers.

Scope, collaboration and what comes next. A little clarity before your first conversation about maintenance & security.

Ask us anything
Can you maintain a website built by another company?

We start with a review of the platform, software, hosting and available access. That lets us identify what we can support and whether any initial work is needed. Some older or unsupported setups need a wider change before routine maintenance is practical, and we explain that before making a commitment.

What does website maintenance include?

The scope is agreed for your site. It may include core and plugin updates, relevant checks, monitoring and backup or recovery arrangements. We make the tasks, responsibilities and recurring costs clear. Content changes, new features and substantial repairs are discussed separately where they fall outside that scope.

Can you help with a one-off website problem?

Yes, we can discuss a specific issue and the access needed to investigate it. We first establish what is happening and assess the work, then agree the next step with you. The website’s condition and any third-party dependencies affect what is possible and how the fix should be approached.

Does maintenance guarantee that a website cannot be hacked?

No. Keeping software current, managing access and preparing recovery arrangements can reduce risk, but no maintenance service can remove every possible threat. We explain the security work included in the agreed scope and flag relevant issues that need a decision or additional attention.

How do support requests and response times work?

We agree the contact route, coverage and response arrangements with you when defining the support scope. Tell us how much the business relies on the website and any particular requirements. A real person on our team can discuss requests, explain priorities and agree work that is outside the existing arrangement.

A greener home.
For your website.

Every website has a carbon footprint. The UK data centre behind our hosting purchases 100% renewable electricity from sources including wind, solar and hydro, reducing reliance on fossil-fuel power.

Using less energy matters, too. Efficient cooling, modern servers and smart caching help reduce wasted energy while keeping your website responsive.

Beyond the servers, our hosting platform supports tree planting and carbon reduction projects through Ecologi. It’s a practical approach to a lower-carbon web, backed by people you can call when your website needs a hand.
