Helping customers navigate a considered purchase
A WooCommerce website for Simply Worktops, backed by my ongoing SEO, AIO, Google Ads, hosting and website maintenance services.
Simply Worktops sells kitchen worktops, surfaces and accessories online. Its range includes laminate, square edge, compact, solid surface and solid wood options, alongside upstands, splashbacks and installation essentials. Customers need to compare materials, styles, brands and dimensions before deciding what is right for their space.
I built the WooCommerce website for an existing client and continue to support the business through SEO, AIO, Google Ads, hosting and maintenance. That makes this more than a launch project. The online shop, its visibility and its ongoing care form part of the same relationship, with a direct point of contact who understands the business and the website.

A catalogue organised around how people shop
The navigation gives customers several ways into the range. Someone who already knows a brand can browse that way; someone planning a room can start with a finish or worktop style. Product categories, visible search and clear routes to the main collections help the catalogue feel more manageable.
The homepage uses kitchen imagery to place the products in context, then introduces brands, styles and featured worktops. It also gives the founders, Spencer and Rick, space to explain the business in their own words. That personal context complements the product information and contact details, rather than making the shop feel like a collection of anonymous listings.

Product detail that supports the buying decision
A worktop is not always a single product with one price. The captured product page presents the different worktop sizes and related items together, with the options clearly labelled. Product photography, dimensions and visible pricing help customers work through the available choices before adding anything to their basket.
This is where e-commerce development has to follow the details of the product range. The interface needs to support practical decisions about size, finish and associated items. Delivery information, returns information and accessible contact routes are also part of that decision, so they have a clear place in the wider site.

Search and paid marketing connected to the shop
My ongoing remit includes SEO, AIO and Google Ads. The useful starting point is the catalogue itself: making sure the categories and products explain what is available and give visitors a relevant next step. Search visibility and paid traffic only become commercially useful when the landing experience helps people understand the range.
The same principle applies to AI discovery. Clear business information, useful product content and technically accessible pages support a site that can be understood by people and search systems. I treat that as part of the website’s broader search work, rather than promising a guaranteed mention or placement in an AI answer.

A continuing technical relationship
Hosting and maintenance sit alongside the marketing work. Keeping the shop cared for gives the business a consistent technical foundation while its catalogue and campaigns develop. The advantage of that joined-up relationship is practical: decisions about the website can be made with an understanding of the products, the customer journey and the ongoing marketing activity.
This case shows the range of work I can bring to an e-commerce business. I can build the WooCommerce shop, help people find it and stay involved in looking after it. The finished website provides a detailed place to browse, compare and buy, while the continuing relationship keeps development, optimisation and care connected.
