Start with the customer’s question
We organise the site around the situations that bring people to you. The right service names still matter, but they should be explained in language the customer understands.
Clear services. A direct conversation.
When someone is choosing a professional service, useful information matters as much as a strong first impression. I design websites for Bolton businesses that explain the offer, answer practical questions and make it easy to start a conversation, working with you directly from my Wigan base.

Help people understand what you do.
People do not always arrive knowing the name of the service they need. They may be dealing with an unfamiliar situation, comparing providers or deciding whether it is the right time to ask for help. A website should give them enough context to move forward, without burying the useful information underneath a long list of services.
Bolton-based Legacy Wills & Probate provides a relevant example from my work. Its website has to present several connected services and help visitors find an appropriate route. That makes the structure and wording important. The business remains responsible for approving its professional advice and claims; my role is to turn the agreed information into a clear, usable website.
I bring the same care to other service businesses in Bolton. From my Wigan base, I work with you on the pages, the design and the practical enquiry journey. You can explore my Web Design Wigan approach and then talk to me about your own business, whether you are planning a first website or improving one that no longer reflects the way you work.
What matters in the work
We organise the site around the situations that bring people to you. The right service names still matter, but they should be explained in language the customer understands.
Visitors should know what happens when they enquire, what information is useful and who will respond. We agree that process with your team rather than inventing promises about instant replies, free advice or availability that the business cannot consistently support.
Qualifications, memberships, project examples and reviews need to be accurate and approved. I can help present genuine evidence clearly, with appropriate attribution.
We review important services, pages and content before removing or reorganising them, then consider redirects when addresses change. Existing search visibility is a reason to plan carefully, not a reason to promise there is no risk.
Your team may need to change a fee, a profile or a service description. We agree which content should be editable and how approval works.
A website should remain useful as the business changes. I can provide agreed support and maintenance, with a straightforward route to the person who knows the build. Technical care and ongoing SEO are separate services unless the proposal explicitly combines them.
From the portfolio
Selected work showing the requirements and relationships discussed on this page.
Legacy Wills & Probate has its principal office at Old Kiln Lane in Bolton and provides wills, probate and estate-planning services. The website brings those connected services under one identity, giving visitors distinct routes into the information they need. It is a local example of considered service presentation, with the business providing the specialist advice and checking its professional claims.
Prism Ag is a specialist rural planning consultancy. This project elsewhere in my portfolio shows how a focused website can explain a precise specialism, who it helps and when someone should enquire. It is particularly useful when discussing a smaller practice: a clear offer and a manageable website can matter more than an elaborate collection of features.
The detail behind the work
A useful service website grows from a clear brief and accurate content. I work through the visitor’s questions with you, then bring the design and development together around those answers.
We begin with the people you want to hear from and what they need to understand before contacting you. Different services may deserve different pages, but a page should have a useful purpose. I help distinguish a genuine customer need from another heading that simply repeats the same offer.
For a specialist practice, this may include explaining a process, presenting an approved fee structure or routing enquiries to the right person. My existing law firm website service explores that particular sector, while the wider web design service covers the full design and build.
Your business knows its expertise, restrictions and promises. I can organise rough notes into a clear page structure and explain what a visitor still needs to know. You or your nominated adviser approve professional advice, qualifications, regulatory wording and any third-party material before those claims are published.
We also agree what should be left out. Confidential client details do not belong in a case study simply because they would make a more dramatic story.
The design should support a calm reading experience on a phone and a desktop. Service pages, meaningful headings and a focused contact route are considered together. Forms should request enough context to help your team respond, without making the first enquiry feel like completing a full client file.
If you already have a website, I review the important URLs before changing the structure. Metadata, internal links, redirects and launch checks form part of the agreed work. Ongoing local SEO is a separate process of useful improvements and measurement, rather than a position promised at launch.
Before handover, we agree how routine edits and future changes will be handled. Your team might manage approved service wording while I look after technical work. I can also help as a website consultant alongside an existing supplier or internal team, with responsibilities set out clearly.
A focused new build is one option; improving the current site may be another. The right recommendation depends on its condition and your goals. A website audit can help establish which changes are worthwhile before a business commits to replacing every page and feature.

Before we get started
No. I am based in Wigan and work directly with businesses in Bolton. We can discuss the brief and review the design by call, with meetings arranged where useful. I keep the location clear rather than presenting a virtual Bolton office or implying a local team that does not exist.
Yes. I can help turn your notes and existing material into clearer page journeys, useful headings and practical answers. Your business must approve the accuracy of specialist advice and claims. Where a professional adviser needs to check wording, that review should be part of the project plan.
Often, and keeping useful URLs may be sensible. I first review the current structure and the changes you actually need. Where an address changes, a planned redirect may be appropriate. The aim is a considered transition; nobody can guarantee that a redesign will have no effect on search performance.
The starting price applies to an agreed scope. We set out the pages, content responsibilities, functionality and any migration before work begins. A large service library, complex forms or integrations need their own allowance, rather than being assumed to fit an unlimited £800 website package.
Yes, subject to reviewing the platform, access and condition. I may be able to make focused content, design or development improvements without replacing it. If a rebuild is the better option, I explain the reasons and the work involved so you can make an informed decision.
