A practical website for a practical business
A focused, entry-level website for a Wigan training business. I built a clear route from the available forklift and equipment courses to a conversation with Steve about on-site training.
ACL Forklift Training provides on-site operator training for businesses in Wigan and the North West. Its public website introduces Steve, the available training and the way courses can be delivered at a customer’s workplace. This was an entry-level website geared towards lead generation, with the effort focused on what a potential customer needs to know before enquiring.
The design uses a clear black-and-yellow identity, straightforward headings and prominent contact options. It communicates the service quickly rather than asking visitors to work through a large corporate website. That makes it a useful example of a smaller build with a defined commercial purpose.

Answer the first questions clearly
The homepage introduces the business’s location and on-site approach, then points visitors towards the training information. The course page groups forklift and lifting-equipment options in one place, including counterbalance, reach truck and other equipment training. Each route starts with the customer’s need rather than a long introduction to the business.
FAQs address practical questions about premises, operator experience, equipment and arranging a course. Those details help a prospective customer understand what to discuss with Steve. The site gives the training enough context to support an enquiry while leaving the specific course requirements to a real conversation.

Several simple ways to make contact
Telephone, email, WhatsApp and the contact page provide different ways to take the next step. The enquiry layout asks customers to explain the training they need, with useful prompts such as equipment type and the number of operators. The website’s role is to help start an informed conversation, not to pretend every training requirement fits a fixed online checkout.
Responsive pages keep the contact options accessible on smaller screens. A customer can read about the training, check the areas served and find the next step while away from a desk. The design stays consistent across the short page set, making the whole site feel like one clear introduction to the business.

A smaller build with a clear job to do
The finished website shows how an entry-level project can still be specific to the business. The location, course types, on-site delivery and direct contact with Steve shape the content and structure. The budget has a clear purpose: explain the service, answer early questions and make an enquiry straightforward.
This is the approach I bring to smaller lead-generation websites. Start with the customer’s task, give the essential information a useful structure and make sure the next step works across devices. A focused website can support a specialist local service without needing unnecessary pages or complicated features.
